    ● The 1st IReNA-Ukakuren Joint Workshop "Advancing Professional Development in Nuclear Astrophysics and Beyond" will be held at NAOJ in Mitaka, Tokyo for Aug. 28-Sep. 1. The details are found here. Now the abstract submission is open on this page. This is the first IReNA-Ukakuren joint workshop, and we would like to widely welcome researchers of various fields that are related to the nuclear astrophysics. Young reserachers are particularly encouraged to join in this workshop.

    ● Informal meeting of JaFNA was held on Mar 14, during the JPS spring meeting.

    ● The 2022 JINA-CEE Frontiers in Nuclear Astrophysics Conference will be hosted by the University of Notre Dame on May 25-27 in South Bend, Indiana. A two-day Junior Workshop dedicated to the training and professional development of students and postdocs will precede the meeting (May 23-24).
    This year, the Frontiers Conference will also be the stage for the first in-person IReNA collaboration meeting, which will feature an IReNA Day on May 25. The IReNA Day will include invited talks and discussion sessions for all Focus Areas.

    ● ChETEC(Europian community on "Chemical Elements as Tracers of the Evolution of the Cosmos") has published 2022 calender of "Women who Made Nuclear Astrophysics", introducing 12 women researchers who made key contributions to the field of nuclear and astrophysics.     JaFNA (Ukakuren) agreed on the idea of the project, and contributed to it by translating the text into Japanese.

    ● A workshop was held at NAOJ (Mitaka) for Dec. 3-4 2019, as one of the first activities of IReNA. Hendrik Schatz (MSU), Tim Beers (ND) and other JINA-CEE members participated in this workshop.

    ● About international collaboration： The research network "IReNA (International Research Network for Nuclear Astrophysics )" , which was under the budget application to NSF by JINA-CEE and others, has been approved. This is a five-year project to promote international communication and collaboration. Organizations registered are: JINA-CEE、ChETEC、JaFNA(Ukakuren)、EMMI、CRC881、NuGRID.

    ● The 15th International Symposium on Origin of Matter and Evolution of Galaxies (OMEG15) was held for Jul. 2-5, 2019, at Yukawa Inst. (Kyoto University).
