Nuclear forces depend strongly on spin-degrees of freedom. By using and by controlling the spin degrees of freedom, we are studying various aspects of nucleon many body systems, such as behavior of pions in nuclei, properties of asymmetric nuclear matter, origins of shell-stability and many nucleon
correlation in the region far from the beta-stability line. We are also developping a unique polarized proton target, specialized for use in RI beam experiments and a high-resolution SHARAQ spectrometer.
