CNS Univ. of Tokyo, is an institute to study many-body hadronic system from atomic nucleus to quarks. The development of the accelerator technique, we obtained tools to explore the region that we never reached before.
The tools are,
- RI Beam Factory of RIKEN, in a strong research collaboration with CNS, especially two big apparatus constructed by CNS, SHARAQ and CRIB.- RHIC at Brookhaven National Laboratory and LHC in CERN. In CNS, 7 professors (2 prof., 1 assoc. prof. and 1 lecturer) students and postdocs are extensively working for the latest researches using these big facilities.

CNS was reviewed by international committees in 2005 and 2013. The comments in the review reports are used to guide our future plan of research / education activities.

東京大学原子核科学研究センター (CNS) では、原子核からクォークに至るハドロン多体系の物理を研究しています。加速器技術の発展に伴い、我々は従来到達し得なかった領域に踏み込む道具をこの手に得ることになりました。それが、CNS と強い研究連携体制にある理化学研究所の RI ビームファクトリー、とりわけ東大CNSの建設した、SHARAQ、CRIBという２つの大型実験装置であり、また、ブルックへブン国立研究所の RHIC や、CERN 研究所のLHC です。 CNS は 7 人の教員（教授 2, 准教授 1, 講師 1, 助教 3）と大学院生・ポスドクを中心としたメンバーで、これらの巨大加速器施設における最先端研究を推進しています。
